Welcome to the New England Livecode Users Group
This users group used to be called another name...North East Livecode Users Group. However, I accidently renamed it. I guess I thought New England sounded better. If we need to switch it back we can. But feel it identifies us better when viewed by prospected members on Livecode.com's website. Feel it nails who we are better. As far as this group goes anyone can join. The group is open to New England members, national members and international members.
The Goal of this group
The goal is to provide members a place where we all can learn Livecode from each other. Everyone is different and has learned different parts of Livecode. Some graphics, animation, databases, wigets, mobile development, etc. Some members may have very little experience and some may be in the middle or in the expert category. Livecode.com has forums to help, but a users group can provide a great environment to learn in.
How to join as a member of the group:
Sign-on to www.meetup.com and obtain a free account. You can then join any group that is listed within meetup.com. Search for "Livecode". Then become familiar with what is written there and then join the meeting which the first meeting is April 3, 2021 at 11:00 am. It is the first meeting and will meet at the same time, the first Saturday of every month and will meet at 11:00. The first meeting is going to be one hour long and then the period of time will be adjusted every month in case we have guest speakers that need more time. Demonstrations take time! If you can't find it by searching for Livecode go into the group categories. It should be listed under one of the categories.
Once you join the meeting you will be sent a notification of how to attend the meeting on the day of the event. As long as you RSVP you should be good. The meeting will be held on Zoom so you will receive a Zoom link to attend. You will just click on the link the day of attendance. Both meetup.com and Zoom are very easy...that is why I chose these apps to help us communicate effectively!
Note: This group is for every member that attends. If there is something you would like to discuss or see within this group please send a suggestion. See the contact me menu item listed. Or bring it up in one of the meetings for everyone to discuss. Also, be respectful of members at all times.
